Zinga's Lesson - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Zinga's Lesson - Lincoln Park Zoo

Colobus monkey, Zinga, who
Just recently turned one month old,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
Is with Mom and is being told
About some recent fresh browse that,
Full of good leaves to munch upon,
Keepers brought to their habitat.
Before others eat the leaves gone,
Mom takes the first dibs to be sure
Zinga has opportunity
To sense the browse and practice her
Skills on future browse to be.

The other monkeys share browse fun
After Zinga's lesson is done.
