I was beginning to think you had died.
Now sun, I need you to shine
All the time, so we can keep skipping in rhyme!

Apologies Gemima,
I opened the wrong box of Roses,
Forgetting it was Lent
And that we were off chocolate.

Paintbrush dipped in water,
Only for a second,
Creates roller coaster
Of blue swirls that beckon

5am and all asleep.
Door softly unlatched,
We silently leave.
Soon footsteps on grass.

Is it again time
For the blank page of silence?

The black shapes on white,

I'm going to be a burger;
Minced feelings, words and whatever else
Will be compressed
By the new tupperware burger press.

When I miss you, I take a walk.
I stroke the petals of all the flowers
Then pluck one to walk with me,
Caressing it as your skin.
