I am a rain drop flopped down from the clouds
I could have landed in a river or the sea
Then merging with the rising and receding tides
I would have been washed down into oblivion

She heard the sound of pigeons overhead
Looking up she saw them whirling and gyrating
Forming newly emerging patterns in the sky
They soared on and on

The heavens grew darker with rain clouds
The day looked like a misty shroud
Soon rain pelted down, whip lashing
Lightning unleashed its lethal rapier

After the blasts of winter

The Spring shall come once again,

The blessed time of the year has come

When sleep deserted me
I crawled out of my bed unseen
To delve into the crevices of the dark
With the curiosity of an explorer

Some like boulders, some like rocks and rubble
