Svanhildur Njálsdóttir Poems

When the sandman calls your name
will you be prepared to come?
Are you going to fall to his will?
Close your eyes
...

I am a song
Sung among
the jolly rangers
of stranger plains
...

Kiss me please
under a falling star
a dying sun
kiss me please
...

Come fall with me,
Over the sun and under the sea,
Stay under cover,
And drown with your lover,
...

I am the watcher
Looking in throw the glass
The tails that it tells me
In my tapestry I spin
...

The best poem in the world
will never be read
when everyone is writing
The best song in the world
...

Tonight I fall from heaven
The slippery serpent embedded in my silvery soul,
Tonight I fall from heaven,
My murderous mind filled with malicious means
...

Reach from the sun to the moon in the sky
holding close the light liquor of life
falling down the shaft of corruption
to crawl up with bleeding hands
...

All I want is for you to sing to me
Set me free
So please
A word to the wise I came to be
...

Burn the roots
but keep the roses
Treat the wound
but keep the scar
...

Can't have you
Can't leave you
Always watching
never touching
...

I see the faces of my past
Walking around like me or you
I see the things that didn't last
People I've never met but always knew
...

My name is Eric
I can't seem to move
The ground above and the sky below
For reasons I fail to know
...

My Dear Crimson Bride
Bathe not in white
Be cloaked in blood
Whilst in my sight
...

Twice around the willow tree
that is where you'll find me
A kiss in dark and a knife in light
My hate by day and love by night
...

16.

I live alone
Always alone
The only one
a lonely sun
...

To fall forever
to glorious end
for life eternal
the reapers bend
...

The deafning clock
It borrows deep within
Signalling the slow escape
of myself from myself
...

Just another prick to the finger
Another needle in the eye
Just another life in danger
Another reason to cry
...

Give me seasons to change my mind
and years to change my life
Give me deckades to change myself
and a lifetime to be who i want to be
...

The Best Poem Of Svanhildur Njálsdóttir

When The Sandman Calls Your Name

When the sandman calls your name
will you be prepared to come?
Are you going to fall to his will?
Close your eyes
and drift off
to an evening to be forgotten

When he holds out his hand
will you be prepared to take it?
to follow his lead
to places unknown
and ideas forsaken

Do you feel the weight of your eyes?
Slowly closing throughout a lifetime
in preparation
for when
the sandman calls your name

Would you like a rose for your troubles?
Perhaps coins for the ferry man?
A kiss for the sandman
and a soul to lose?

Lets spend an evening
Dancing in the flower fields
all hands underground
for when the sandman calls your name

Will you hear it when he calls you?
When its your turn
to step to the front of the line
and fall to the ground

What will you be doing?
Where will you be?
How will you feel?
when the sandman
calls your name
for the last time
