pens travel pens reach far places even godless places
pens do travel signing documents treaties creating wars

in this millpond flat salt sea
no thirst quenching water to see
no creaked lip mercy will there be

if lucky we could read the poem in translation
a good translation from the original to our language
a good translation of accurate meaning is not poetry

a pinch is so small
yet life survival
the difference between

broken desires can be like broken teeth
shattered dreams like fractured broken ribs
failing withering hope like spinal injuries
sometimes there is no way out of pain

dusk seems a good time to sit at the beach
by the sea on a pale beach by the twilight
sea to sit to think thought free if haunted
sad and lonely by past stirring memories;

choose not to fester hate
choose not to let anger revenge
grow in the human heart
