एक तारों भरी रात
पैरापेट वाल पर बैठी थी तुम
और मैंने तुम्हारे लबों पर
दिया था एक चुम्बन

वह जब चलती है न चाँद
तो उसके पायजेब के घुँघरू
कुछ रुनझुन नहीं करते हैं
बल्कि मेरी नज़्में कहते हैं

On the yellow wall
Of my drawing room

Beautiful flowers
Of myriad varieties
Bloomed in my garden
Scented is the whole ambient
