Ananda Alves Poems

Your absence consumes me so hard
Just hard as your unbearable presence
...

I feel the air with a kind of tension
I stare at you standing close to the window
Smoking your cigarette in a peaceful way
Distant look in your eyes
...

I may not be present, honey, but
I've never forgotten you,
not even for a second.
...

Hush, little baby
Don't complain, it's too late
Your bed is already set
With a blanket made of stars.
...

Just a few doubts to make one sure.
Just a few mistakes to make one regret.
Just a few memories to make one forget.
...

6.

Relax, little girl
Why don't you take some rest?
You must eat something good
Taking a shower have effect
...

She wakes up
Grabs a cup of coffee
Tells herself everything is alright
...

She's got a picture of him on her desk
She tries to write but she can't
His eyes drags hers into them like a magnet
...

Patched lips
Locked fears
Delusional breath
...

He gets out of the couch
Stretches a little bit
Takes a look around
No lights, no sounds
...

You can brake
Breath relieved
Look around, see perfection
Observe nifty scenes in motion
...

Inexistent me
Absence as wish
Expectations in me
...

Ananda Alves Biography

I was never really into poetry until I started visiting this website. On May 6th 2007, around 1am, I created my first poem, the very first one of my life, called 'Roulette'. 'Lullaby' and 'Mirror, Mirror' just came in a row. I went to bed around 6am and already had 7 poems in my hand. I decided to publish them, with no purpose at all, but after reading a few comments telling me I was good, I think I became addicted. As all of you can see, I'm not an English native speaker. I'm brazilian, and originally, I speak Portuguese. So I'm sorry if I make any mistakes about spelling or expressions, I'm trying to do my best. ;) My opinion about poetry? It's something that gives you freedom and flexibility to write about whatever you want to and in the way you want to. There's no right or wrong. Please, comment my work, rate it, tell me how you feel. It's really special for me. May inspiration be always with you, ~Ananda~)

The Best Poem Of Ananda Alves

Cliché Love

Your absence consumes me so hard
Just hard as your unbearable presence

Your eyes give me confort when they follow me
But they follow me so constantly your stares look haunted

Your hands provide me great pleasure
Yet it's so deep that makes me want to crush you

Your body is my safest place to hide
However it hides me so much I can easily get lost

Your love drives me crazy
So crazy it makes me hate you

You know me so well that you own me
But here's my payback: I know you in the same way
And guess what? It makes us even
(even more in love)
