I wear my heart on my armoured sleeve
with a green kite shield on my left forearm
a shining sword hangs by my thigh
ready to be used when needed

The castle's turrets have been destroyed by dragon fire
the roof of the keep is still aflame
the outer walls are barely standing
and the gates are a pile of cinders

I want to kick your bull- -
and burn your truth
want to stand over the flames
to get high off the fumes
...

You think you're the purest platinum
but you're just a common ore
not worth the bother to study
or the effort to smelt
...

You're not online to chat tonight
I'll make no secret that I am pleased
I'm too tired to talk to listen to you
and I don't want to be deceived
...

You once told me that if you died
you would haunt my dreams forever
flood my memory with images
of both good and bad times together
...

Please tell me how you feel about me
let me know how you care
while it may be visible in things you do
I want to hear it in your voice
...
