You once told me that if you died
you would haunt my dreams forever
flood my memory with images
of both good and bad times together
Now you're gone and I don't see you
my thoughts at night are clear
not even the mention of your name
brings back what you would hope
We had some good times over the months
until I learnt what you were
true colours fully exposed
when you were confronted with the truth
You once told me that if you died
you would haunt my dreams forever
though you may still be alive to some
you were dead to me long ago
the day you vanished from my existence
