Please tell me how you feel about me
let me know how you care
while it may be visible in things you do
I want to hear it in your voice

Please show me how happy you are
to spend a whole day with me
although you can tell me 100 times
I want it obvious in your actions

Please be proud to be in public with me
no matter where we are
however much you say and act the part
I desire to see it in your eyes

Please be straight with me always
not just with your voice, actions and eyes
be honest with your heart and mind
and I will be the same with you
as without honesty there can be no respect
and without that there can be no love
