We sowed our first seeds of love in the spring;
Desire nearly drove us insane.
The bursts of feeling that our love did bring,
Repeated one constant refrain.

I see the fruit of a subtle hint and
I think a dear friend with the sharpest eye
has discovered something she has not told,
that she found on a site, just passing by.

Lightning breeds thunder and sunshine breeds heat;
Spring rains make the green grasses grow.
Fruit of the harvest allows us to eat
And drink where the sweetest streams flow.

Seduced by the hopes of the future;
Seduced by the dreams of the past;
Seduced by the touch of a woman,
And a bubble that just couldn’t last.

It’s neither you nor I that are mistaken,
but worldly circumstances that inhibit
and place us in this pathway of restrictions.
We travel only by imagination.

I'm left saddened and puzzled,
Distressed but inured,
To long odds of success that
The play is secured.

Within this world, when falls wind-driven snow,
As always was, the poor accrue more need
And as the wintry storm winds start to blow,
The bitter hunger ever plants its seed.

A sock can be a comfort to
a chilly soul and sole,
and in the summer ventilate
through some old worn-through hole.

I go where I wish and rest when I must,
Eat when I can, and I sleep in the dust.
Unanswered questions are plaguing my soul.
Unknown the script, which brings me my role.
