1.

I was at home, all alone.
In the dark and dreary night,
The sound of screaming, the sound of fright.
I hear a whisper in my ear.
...

Shhh. Something’s coming from someplace I don’t know.
It’s coming in fast and definitely not slow.
It came from somewhere, maybe behind that tree.
All I know is that it’s coming for me.
...

She was cheery, she was energetic,
She had light that could fill up space.
But something or someone in this cruel, cruel world
Was trying to put it out of place.
...

From the center of the stage,
To the halls or the street.
No matter where you are,
Your beauty is always just as sweet.
...

There you were next to me,
Throughout the whole night.
Why didn't I try anything?
You were right there in my sight.
...

6.

Love is a mystery,
Something hard to define.
If you try to look it up,
Many answers you will find.
...

Quiet! I have something to tell,
Even if I want to scream I can’t even yell.
I heard a knock…, a creek…, a sound like a BOOM!
I know that this will be my doom.
...

8.

Run away! Run away! The creature's behind me.
It's huge and reckless can't you see.
I have to get out before it gets me.
This hidious thing is moving like crazy.
...

9.

I am lost in the shadows of the world.
All by myself in the deep, deep cold.
The only thing I see is a tiny door.
If I open it, I won't be cold anymore.
...

One quiet evening, with nothing to do,
Little old Ricky went to the door and put on his shoes.
He went for a walk all by himself,
But what he didn't know is that there was something else.
...

I have a friend. I think he's a he.
I really don't think it matters to me.
He's a great singer. Oh he loves to sing songs.
Every note, the pitches, are never wrong.
...

You hear a noise coming from outside.
Should you go take a look or go run and hide?
It sounds like a couple of people lurking in the night,
That sound could give anyone a fright.

The Best Poem Of Michael Chau

Alone

I was at home, all alone.
In the dark and dreary night,
The sound of screaming, the sound of fright.
I hear a whisper in my ear.
“I am a ghost do not fear.”
She’s wearing chains with years of rust.
Should she be someone I should trust?
She says her name cannot be told.
‘Cause she is clearly very old.
“You have to get away from here.
The spirit to reap you is coming near.”
Then I saw the spirit, the one in red.
With one word on his outfit, which says “DEAD.”
So I followed the ghost, the one in blue.
I grabbed her hand and away we flew.
I might be 14, but my parents are dead.
And I’m not sure that this is in my head.
But I swear I can tell them from one another.
The one in red is my dad and the blue is my mother.
She brought me to the place where they had died.
And I just sat down and started to cry.
I couldn’t believe it and then I knew.
“Your father killed me and I killed him for you.”
They were both stabbed and I found the knife.
If my father is death, then my mother is life.
So I just figured something that makes sense to me.
And this may sound a bit crazy.
Those words aren’t signs, they’re labels that pry.
So my mother must live and my father must die.
Here comes my father, right on cue.
Because I knew exactly what to do.
I must kill him with the same knife.
It will keep him from me, it will keep him from his wife.
I pushed in the knife to subdue his death.
And surely you would know the rest.
Then my mom laughed an evil laugh.
And I knew my job was done but only in half.
I have taken the wrong person by mistake.
And it is my mother’s life I am supposed to take.
So I gave her a slash and that was all I needed.
While she faded away, her chest, it bleeded.
And in a blink of an eye, I was back at home.
And just like the beginning I was all alone.
