037. The Start Of Rebellion Poem by Jaden Knight

037. The Start Of Rebellion

As the sun rises for a new day
the harsh crack of a whip is heard
I am forced out of my rag bed
by the cruel slave master
an iron collar is clamped round my neck
a steel chain links me to the other workers

Their savage laws
silence the hope I once had
of becoming free
as they torture a man in front of me
ignoring his cries for mercy
for they have none

we will break free from this
as we break the chain of oppression
never be slaves again
brothers throw down your tools
and leave them where they are
let them rust and break
we won’t need them any more
we will overthrow the masters
the time of change draws near
