094. Entire Streets Are Burning Poem by Jaden Knight

094. Entire Streets Are Burning

Entire streets are burning
cars and trucks are ablaze
bottles being broken
tyres are being slashed

Welcome to the anarchy
why not join the mobs
you don’t need a weapon
to attack any thing in sight
fists are better than nothing

The president is dead
long live the king
the prime minister has been shot
the queen lies dying
world leaders are left
in pools of blood

Religious buildings are being looted
before they are turned to rubble
priests ayatollahs and rabbis
clutch desperately at their holy books
begging for mercy
from the god they believe in
before they too are dead

The jails are being emptied
and prisoners released
the officers are trapped in the cells
as the walls begin to fall in
crushing all inside

Riot police stand around taking abuse
they are powerless to halt the crowds
many join in with the destruction
those that don’t are killed

The army is called to halt it all
but even it can’t hold the tide
many shots are fired
many people fall
but the rest over run the soldiers
as the streets fill with blood
Every one is dying
but no one seems to care
they just keep wrecking every thing
until they too collapse
as the last men fall
no more sounds can be heard
save the roar of the spreading flames

No one to rule the countries
all the ministers are dead
all buildings are no more
apocalypse has succeeded
