.2. Conker Bonking Poem by David Threadgold

.2. Conker Bonking

Rating: 5.0

Logs thrown at trees
Some thought we were bonkers
But every year
We were out collecting conkers

We soaked them in vinegar
Tied them on laces
Then played games of conkers
In all sorts of places

As Lorraine says the world has gone mad, I say bring back the conker bonking competitions, my brothers were always looking for their shoelaces that I 'borrowed' Good piece David, 10 Lynda xx
