to which war
are you referring?

and it was fought
not to take land oil
precious resources?

belonging to others
you say but fought as a war
on spin term terrorism?

occupation shock troops
soldiers were there to free
distant foreign citizens?

to support local populations
begging for democracy you say
left without clean water?

no stockpiles adequate food
repaired bombed out infrastructure
you say and not to protect oil pipeline?

we believe you will finish
your occupation of peace
when oil resources

are safely protected by puppet
reign or when it is not
economically profitable

to squeeze foreign soil
any dryer or when resistant
fierce freedom fighters

wear down drive out
their perceived invaders
of their birthright lands

so many wars so many nations
hard to know which war
to pin this one down to?

country date fades
into history as war replaces
war carousel carnage killing

clown racist rhetoric
speeches for soldiers
justified licence to kill

speeches spelling out theatres
of war for illiterate soldiers
mind map motivates crossing borders

war obey propaganda glorious leaders
crossing borders with steel teeth
claws steel knives for hands

grenades for gifts
bombs to blow foreign families apart
earning pretty ribbons bits of tin

just reward for slaughtering
poor fools wearing
another countries

armies uniforms
or killing displaced countless
wrong place time innocent defenceless

civilians tossed aside
rag doll collateral damage
with nowhere safe to run
