'How do you feel? ? ' you ask the question
but it is clear you don't want to hear an answer
not stopping to get a response you march on
as you don't want to get into a conversation

You just want to sound like you give a damn
so you can applaud yourself on the inside
the fact that you don't really care
clearly shows for those who notice
they can even hear it in your words

Would it hurt so much to be genuine for once
to actually care about something that is not you
even the most self centred of people
will need to have friends at some point

'How do you feel? ? ' you ask the question
but this time you want to hear their answer
it's not the applause you want to hear
but their response when they say
'I'm good thanks. You? ? '
