(330) I’m An Animal

Rating: 3.3

This morning I’m a feline,
walking with grace.
Hips swaying side to side

Slowly moving in to manipulate you.

This afternoon I’m a dog,
Needy, wanting, loving.
snuggling in your lap,
feeling the warmth of your body,

enjoying every precious moment.

You are good with imagery.....Feeling a little frisky when you wrote this one....Some how I want to sing 'Eye of the Tiger' from 'Rocky' after I read this: O)

Wow Melvina another great one...it is so true of many of us, at different times! In so many ways we change throughout the monthes, weeks or days...or just moment by moment really! I love the imagery full way you describe a person comparing them to animals...never quite thought of it that way but I do now, lol! Great great thought process from beginning to end...I enjoyed this one alot! Thanx for sharing Melly you are an amazing writer.Another thought proviking piece of poetry... Top marks! ! =Shelley=

Aren't we all, underneath - animal I mean. I am reminded of Mary Oliver's beautiful words in her poem 'Wild Geese' when she says 'let the soft animal of your body love what it loves'. One of my favourite lines. Thanks for this. love, Allie xxxx
