334. Brendan Poem by Jaden Knight

334. Brendan

For many years you have served at the altar
with clear purpose that does not falter
in you robes of red and white
your heart is clear and eyes are bright

You sing the hymns without fear
in a voice that is quiet but calm and clear
one that speaks of peace not sorrow
in procession you lead the way for others to follow

Outside of church you are friendly and polite
by your deeds you do what is right
wishing to help all day long
while in your soul you sing your favourite songs

On this your birthday I wish you joy and laughter
for this day and in the hereafter
may your happiness never end
happy birthday Brendan
my brother and my friend
