'while you may choose what kind of person you are'.......this line reminds me of a poem i recently read, maybe by you. the author stated that (or implied that) a person has control over her/his personality/self. i don't agree with that much, if at all. but NOW i've read the poem again. maybe you mean in a game, a player may choose what kind of person she/he is? not in REAL life. i'm not a computer game player, and i don't know the lingo. i suppose 'cheats' has a single meaning in a game. but in 'real life', people can and sometimes DO 'cheat' in order to obtain things. i'm sure they do that in U.K. as well as in U.S.! ! ! ! ! :) [we probably learned that from 'you guys across the pond'] 'or have your sleep in seconds'....i don't know if this means 1- a person falls asleep within a few seconds OR 2- a person does all their sleeping over a period of only a few seconds. the later may be drug-induced. so might the former be! 'the punishment for you crimes would last for years '............this contains the only typo i've found so far in either poem. not bad! ! ! oh, upon reading again, i see another typo i missed. ;) still not bad; i've made my share and still do. i like how you used the same two lines to begin both the first and last stanzas! and the ending almost made me laugh. it actually MIGHT be true! who the hell/heaven knows? I'll get these into the July showcase soon. very nice and much appreciated. bri :)
