496. Can I Push You On The Swings Poem by Jaden Knight

496. Can I Push You On The Swings

Can I push you on the swings
to propel you forward through your life
every time something pulls you back
I nudge you forward again
your troubles streaming behind you just like your hair

Can I go on the seesaw with you
to counter all the negatives you feel
I probably can outweigh them all
causing you to rise

Can I be at the base of the slide
so I can pick you up again
with every time you go down
I will be there to assist

Can I spin you on the roundabout
so you can get dizzy with joy
the darkness inside getting confused
so it leaves you alone for a while

Can I stand by you on the monkey bars
to catch you if you should fall
the rungs will get slippery with sweat
as the others try prevent you
from completing them like you want to

While we are in the park of life
I really want to help you if I can
so I hope you will accept my offer when I ask
can I push you on the swings
