497. His Door In The Sky Poem by Jaden Knight

497. His Door In The Sky

At night when everyone else had gone to bed
he would open his door in the sky
stepping through into the land beyond
where none of his family could go

He wandered through the forests
surrounded and protected by woodland creatures
hearing the calls of the birds
and some even offered to carry him

He spoke to the lords and ladies in court
and all of them listened to his words
every single one gave him huge respect
that he got from no one in his home town

Every night was an adventure
riding on quests with heroes
completing them as the sunrises
before he has to go back home

before his alarm goes he would be back in bed
and no one would be ever the wiser
waking up at the sound of the first ring
to get ready for the day ahead

While he struggles through bullying at school
and almost indifference at home
he still perseveres with a smile
looking forward to the coming of night
when he would escape through his door in the sky
