.5. Learning Young Poem by David Threadgold

.5. Learning Young

Rating: 5.0

Who saw the children’s smiling faces
Playing in their favourite places
Who made games to stretch their minds?
Leaving clues for them to find

What a puzzle finding bits
Into which another fits
What a happy way of learning
Finding is the prize they’re earning

Why should one a lone child crying
Searched so hard had not stopped trying
Why does he feel so upset?
When the clues he couldn’t get

Where to look and what to do
Others struggled with things to
Where are we if not a team?
Work together fills your dream

When at last no lone child
Now in team for quite a while
When the final game has ended
Learned together as intended
