Why give one man such power
To decide what we must do
Why do we let him change the laws?
Before he asks a few
Why must he take us into war?
Without a second thought
Sending soldiers from their kin
Who pray they won’t get caught
Why spend the many millions
On the wars which never end
Why leave our country vulnerable
To the bombers they may send
Why does he raise our taxes?
To wage his selfish war
Why do we let him carry on?
When he still comes back for more
Why can’t he see the damage?
As our pension systems fall
Why our NHS is crumbling
Can’t he see he’s spent it all?
