I want to reach out and touch you
not just physically but in every way I can
the hands and feet can only do so much
but their limitations are very clear

I want to brush your cheeks with my fingertips
gently tracing each line and wrinkle on your face
feeling the slight change in your breathing
when my hands take hold of yours

I want to touch your mind with my words
stimulating every neurone with every phrase
lightening your every mood
and hopefully helping you to learn

I want to touch your heart and soul with my actions
as most of things I do are for you
seeing you happy is the only reward I desire
and the best one that I could ever hope for

I want you to understand how much you mean
not just to myself but to others around
you have no idea what I truly mean when I tell you
"I want to reach out and touch you"
