657. Poem by Jaden Knight

657.

I've always wanted to talk to creatures
after seeing it done on tv
years later that is what I am doing
just not in the way that I wanted

Unfortunately I speak to snakes
but none of these ones have scales
using camouflage in people form
hiding in plain sight instead of long grass

They have no fangs that can be seen
yet their venom is still just as potent
back biting is their favourite past time
poison seeping deep beneath the skin

Am done with such pathetic beings
with their forked tongues hiding behind their teeth
would be happy to leave the reptile house behind
in search of someone truly human
