680. Bridget Poem by Jaden Knight

680. Bridget

Her voice calls to me through the speakers
from over 768 miles away
yet it's as if she was in front of me
as the song comes through so clear

Her singing transports me to a location of peace
far from the stress of the day
lifts me high up into the sky like I am flying
before setting me down softly again
when the track comes to a gentle end

Each song gives me a happy feeling
brightening up the darkness of my day
a smile spreads across my face
like the sun coming out from the clouds

She reminds me of a nightingale
singing so happy and free
gently playing her guitar while singing
sending my demons to sleep

I don't know how to thank this poet
no words I could say could ever sound right
because although she has no wings herself
her fantastic voice causes my mind to soar
