691. Charlie Poem by Jaden Knight

691. Charlie

I'd love to set your house ablaze
and watch the fire rise up in fury
though the building stands intact and unharmed
you would not live there anymore

The flames would consume your belongings
burning them away into nothing
cleansing the rooms of your rubbish
leaving only dust to be hoovered up

As you are forced out by smoke of your own making
and have to move to another place
the healing could finally start here
slowly undoing the damage you caused
until it is little more than a memory

I'd love to set your house ablaze
and watch the fire rise up in fury
even though the building would remain unharmed
you could never live there anymore
