A Bear, Lion And Tiger Family Poem by Stephen Katona

A Bear, Lion And Tiger Family

Rating: 3.5

I've a lion and tiger brother,
For 13 years we've been together.
Police were quite dismayed,
To find us during a drug raid,
Back in 2001,
Since then life's been fun.
You can find us all hairy,
In Noah's Ark sanctuary,
Near the capital Atlanta,
Of the state of Georgia.

I'm Baloo the bear,
But please don't stare,
At how much I weigh,
Instead watch us play.
I like to lounge in the pool,
With my friends as a rule,
And eat fruity snacks,
While I relax.
Together we three,
Are known as BLT,
And I'm in charge,
Being so large.

Of our amazing trio,
The smallest is Leo.
He's a bit lazy,
Harmless as a daisy,
Likes to sprawl,
Play with his blue ball,
Or put his arms around trees,
And give them a squeeze.

Shere Khan has orange, white and black,
Stripes running down his back.
He acts the clown,
And never slows down,
Forever playing like a kitten,
Just take care you don't get bitten.

We've always had a special connection,
And love to show each other affection.
We may appear quite distinct,
But we're so very closely linked.
If you think family has to be related,
Your view is really quite dated.
Whatever the weather,
We work well together.

Please try to get along,
With those you think wrong.

Just sing a friendly song.

Take it from a BLT,
Family.
