I don't walk with the others,
My path is my own.
I shine bright, not down,
A light, not just a stone.
The people may laugh,
Say my way is strange.
But I stand strong, like a rock,
Trusting God to help me change.
I run my race, head high,
Making a new way.
Though alone I may cry,
God guides me every day.
In His light I will shine,
Lighting up the night.
With His power I will rise,
A life burning brave and bright.
I won't be like the rest,
Or want their approval's nod.
Through good times and bad test,
I'll listen only to God.
The world sees me different,
Marching to another beat,
But God's plan for me is constant -
His purpose is complete.
So I'll keep going without fear,
Holding tight to heaven's way.
My voice will still be clear,
Shining forth, come what may.
