They greet you with a smile so bright,
Cloaking their true nature out of sight.
Sweet words flow freely from their lips,
While behind your back, their true self slips.
Pretending to be your dearest friend,
Their false facade they skillfully defend.
But soon their wicked ways are revealed,
As your trust and reputation they steal.
They spread vicious lies without a care,
Slandering your name without a thought to spare.
Believing every rumor they hear,
Without seeking truth, filled only by fear.
Exodus 23: 1 warns us to be wise,
'Do not spread false reports, do not join the wicked.'
Proverbs 20: 19 also does advise,
'A gossip betrays a confidence; avoid such people.'
These backstabbing souls, masters of deceit,
Will happily watch as your downfall they complete.
So heed the scriptures, keep them far away,
For your own safety, it's best not to stay.
Run, don't walk, from their venomous ways,
Their forked tongues will only bring you dismay.
Steer clear of these two-faced, treacherous foes,
For your own good, it's time for you to go.
