A C T C - Put Poem Title Suggestions Here Poem by Brian Johnston

Brian, you've done it again, i believe. yes, you've edited/changed what you originally wrote. my main concern now with the above (edited August 6th, my daughter's 33rd birthday, but that is neither here nor there!) is this section which i don't remember from my first reading: All poems, prose or otherwise, punctuation or not, will be accepted. .............this is the first time (in my memory) that i have read about entries being accepted which are NOT POEMS! isn't that what you are saying? ? or maybe there are poems which are prose poems? ? please explain more fully what you mean. i don't understand, so i imagine others may not understand and may think an editorial for a newspaper can qualify. of course if that's ok with YOU, it's ok with me; it IS your challenge!

Brian Johnston plans, for you, to supply, each month in poem list on his PH site.... a Challenge, about which you can write. I don't think you will get rich quick... taking up his monthly challenge..., if one of his Challenges you pick, but, if like me, you should have fun. So sharpen up your pencils, your crayons, or you pen. I guess Brian intends to judge; but I don't know just how or when. (June 28,2014)

brian, i just read the above at your suggestion. i approve. i guess as other members make inquiries and as the 'competition' progresses, questions about procedure will get 'ironed out'. however, Luvinthe Now, in his comment, below, asks What is your web address? and i BELIEVE the 'answer' to that is ...........BY: I will also publish it on my site, BRIAN MEANS ON HIS POEMHUNTER 'SITE'. SO IT WILL SHOW UP AS 'ONE OF 'HIS' POEMS, IN HIS POEM LIST, but he will credit the poem, though not the title (that will be his) , to the proper author/poet. brian has done this on his 'site' with my poem (by me, bri edwards) Peter's Pumpkin Eaters. as for BRIAN'S statement, above, The poem and the Challenge Title must go together somehow however to be considered., i have a questions about this myself. what does go together mean exactly? ? ? ? ? ? ? enough said for now. back to you, brian. :) bri (edwards) p.s brian and bri are only related through adam and eve. or was it through ma and pa kettle? ? we are 'only' PH friends, though we once lived in nearby towns and didn't know it at the time.

I THINK BOTH OF US..........GOING TO ANNOUNCE THE december Challenge Title? ? i'll try, a little more, to find the history of title announcements on your site, but it would be easier to just have you tell me. i DON'T have ONE title in mind as yet. my mind is full of titles! i plan to disqualify me as in the running for top dog in our next Challenge, so i guess it could be one of mine i've already suggested or another one. i really don't think i want to use the one my wife suggested about hearing the stream/creek running, though it does have possibilities. if my memory is correct, which is doubtful, you announced a new title the day you announced the previous contest's winner(s) . on the 13th of the month? ? please contact me ASAP (as soon as practical) . bri :) :) :) P.S. I ALSO THINK WE SHOULD CONSIDER GIVING A CHOICE OF TWO TITLES. ONLY FIVE ENTRIES IN November, i believe. it would be nice to have a few more, and a choice might help bring more in. after all, i don't think it should be the opinions/ideas stated in a poem which cause a reader to vote for it, though that is probably asking too much. to me, other features are more important.

well, folks, i think the webmaster needs his booster/bosster? shot to make him understand me better, OR SOMETHING. the titles he has listed below [in his 11-4-2014 comment] as Poetry Contest Ideas by Bri Edwards are NOT ideas i sent for poem titles for this contest. if they were and one or more of them is/are used in the future, i can just submit what i've already written! ! ! sure winners (most of them!) . i had told BJ that i had revised my bio on PH and added some poem titles of poems i've written and submitted to PH and which i think some people might enjoy and I WOULD enjoy having more people read them! ! ! ! i HAD sent to BJ some suggested titles a while back for future contests, but these are not them. today i have one title to suggest: Coincidences I Have Witnessed In My Life. i have NOT written one about this yet, but i may someday. i have the raw materials for a good one i think, having to do with me using a (for me) unusual word and then, in a day, more of less, running into the same word in something i'm reading in a magazine, book, or PH. bri :) respectfully-submitted. bri :)
