A Child And His Candy Poem by Dakota Ellerton

A Child And His Candy

The rules of love
such a cheaters game
liars always get ahead
it always seems the same

I see you and her
but I'm not allowed to be upset
you're dissappointed I don't understand
the good guy without regret

but when you see him and I
you're allowed to say as you will
I look ridiculous getting angry
from my pain do you get a thrill?

If you don't want me
why do you huff and puff
so easily you blew me in the wind
like a stranded piece of fluff

I won't always come back to you
I won't always give you a kiss
we won't always sleep together when we meet
you I won't always miss

Don't take me for granted
you foolish little boy
I can't always look past it
with my emotions you always toy
