A Childs Qusetions - Poem by Tanisha Grove

She hides her eyes and tries not to cry
she holdes her baby girls hand
and tries to tell her everythings okay
the little girl looks at her mother and ask
why do your eyes water?
the mother holds her tears back and say
its okay to be scared its okay to hurt
but is what's never okay is to show the world your pain
the little girl says mommy why did daddy pack all our things?
the mother fights back another tear and says
mommys and daddys love each other but sometimes leave one another
the little girl looks and say mommy where do we go now
the mother put her arm's around her sweet baby and say
i have been thourgh hell and back i have knew pain but my baby i have knew nothing that hurts as much as the answer to your questions
