A Civilized World Poem by akshaya shah

A Civilized World

Enough -
Slogging through life
At every step
Falling, pulling
Mauling and hauling up -
We're civilized.
Rushing ahead to win...
What?
The world remains,
But the race goes on
For success.
Stop!
Look back, you've lost -
Lingering behind,
As others rush past
To elusive victory -
We're civilized.
