A Click Of My Fingers Poem by Doris Cornago

A Click Of My Fingers

Midnight comes in at the close of day
Eyes won't close, tiredness dissipates
Fireflies flicker at the click of my fingers
You'll find me there, crimson and clover

Memories go when we fail to remember
Moonlit nights, laughter, smiles, surrender
Words given, made mine, crossing boulders
Reaching across oceans, made us together

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Memories bind us together unless you choose to forget. We are connected by words though separated by distance in location, but we will never part if you will remember the memories shared through words. Always hold on for the sake of each other, though having never physically met, the intimacy crosses boundaries of race, age, beliefs and perceptions.

Memories go when we fail to remember Moonlit nights, laughter, smiles, surrender Words given, made mine, crossing boulders Reaching across oceans, made us together.. highly imaginative theme. This poem has been beautifully crafted with a poet's note. Thanks for sharing.

Do not make a commitment you cannot honor, that is disloyalty to yourself after giving your word.: -)
