A Clown Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

A Clown

Rating: 4.0

A clown

A frowning clown went down town in a gown
His visage as if he was drowning
It was a hot day
And all he could say
Ouch! ouch! ouch! Over and over ouch! ouch!

A clown

Luke thought he was a clown
His jokes, though, got thumps down
He tried to write jokes in poetry
When that failed his best joke was trying to sell poultry.

A clown

A-nd what are you laughing at?
C-an't you see it's just a joke that?
L-aughing may be good medicine
O-ut there you need practicing
W-ith luck people won't frown
N-aming you the new town clown.
