A Clunk Clunk Poet Generation Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Clunk Clunk Poet Generation

we were not born part of the compute compute computer generation
we were the pencil then pen school chalk generation
we were the writing slow by hand paper pen poet generation

a poet then might clunk clunk write type out a poem

not an electric spell check writer; speed write done send generation
could not would not understand an isolated poet generation
we were a poet writer rural loner; not read isolated poet generation

from feather quill ink parchment candle generation
to paper pen electric light electricity; we were turning point generation
