A Contradicting Love Poem by Leila Mass

A Contradicting Love

It's almost like I can't stop,
I feel like it's all I do.
Whenever I sit to think,
In my mind comes you.

I wish it wasn't like this,
We caused each other tons of pain.
But when we are talking,
It's the only time I feel wholly sane.

I want to forget you,
And go on with my life.
But that seems almost impossible,
Because without you, through my heart plunges a knife.

I know you shouldn't even be in my thoughts,
But when I look in your eyes,
I see that we are both hurt.
I see that they hold no more lies.
