A Coup D'état Against The American Democracy Poem by Hebert Logerie

A Coup D'état Against The American Democracy

The last American election was, of course, rigged.
The latest Electoral College process was tricked.
Real, true, and genuine democracy must be about:
One ballot one vote, one man/woman one vote.
The popular vote must carry more glitzy weight
Than anything else. Congress must absolutely demote
The present archaic system of choosing a President.
The current scheme sounds corrupt, and fraudulent.
A coup d'état took place that night. That was ludicrous.
The so-called Electoral College got to go; I am serious.
America can do better, America must be exemplary.
That was a crazy campaign, the worst ever with derogatory
And colorful verbiage from the winner of the yuckiest contest.
Hoping that the last election was jokingly a preliminary test.
No need to be cheerful or to be elated. What took place
Was despicable and distasteful. That was a modern disgrace.

As we speak, there is going to be a recount in Wisconsin. Tight your belt. I love it when democracy works.
