A Dark Nighttime Park Is Not The Same As A Daytime Park Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Dark Nighttime Park Is Not The Same As A Daytime Park

a walk in the park can be a sunrise walk at dawn
but not if we get up late arrive after the dawn
a walk in the park can be an early morning stroll
but it is not an early morning run up with the sun
a walk in the park can be a midday walk in the sun
but not if it is cloudy or raining or not a midday walk
a walk in the park can be a sunset walk at days end
but not if we are too early or to late for the sunset

a walk in the park can be a walk in the dark
but it will not be like a walk in the daytime
a walk in the park can be a walk in the dark
but it will not be a walk in the same park as the daytime
a walk in the park can be a walk in the dark
but it will not be as friendly crowded or safe as daytime
