A Designation That Pleases Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

A Designation That Pleases

So exposed are those dysfunctional and incompetent,
Advocators following with steadfast beliefs...
Can not perceive the depth,
Of their acceptance that has left them deceived.
Even though they are becoming aware of its existence...
But to the degree of it,
Has eliminated all confidence with evidence to convince.

And those reluctantly picked to character assassinate,
By those rushing behind to follow their associates...
Are those being solicited in secret conferences to lead.

However...
After being labelled a misfit and nonconformist,
Why would anyone subjected like this...
Wish to disgrace themselves by participating with,
Those exposed as being dysfuctional and incompetent...
When being an independent maverick,
Has come to be a designation that pleases.
