A Fading Star Poem by Juan Olivarez

A Fading Star

Rating: 5.0

A brilliant star shining from the sky,
Slowly losing it's luster.
Slowly descending from the heavens,
Faster, faster, and faster yet.
Only memories remain,
Of it's brilliance.
As it hits the atmosphere,
It starts to burn.
Brilliantly once more,
Hotter and hotter,
One last moment of brilliance,
Before it dies in the skies.

Juan, I love this one, it sort of has an essence of the human spirit, and human story flowing all about it. Great write my friend!
