A Goddess's Ballad - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana
Words sculpted by an empyrean mistral
Yet strewn with empathy
And sprinkled with a lingering harmony
Soothing to the orgasmic ear drums
Serenading the soul
Like a flutist on a gondola
As passion ferments from the deepest abysses
Of a reservoir overflowing with love
As a goddess sprinkles affection
With her silvery intonation
Her angelic voice
That breeds life to my world
And levitates me to the heavens
As a nightingale parts with
The ballad of her heart
