A Hanging Bridge Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

A Hanging Bridge

Rating: 5.0

When I was crossing the bridge,
it was undulating-
as if I was in a swing!
The mother Ganges was flowing below-
as if a giant snake was crawling with hissing sound!
The green Himalayas were kissing the endless blue-
as if a young boy was kissing his beloved mother!
I was shivering in cold.
When the noon crept in I took bath in warm sunlight!
A heaven is there on this earth-
my mind could observe, my heart could sense...
