A Genuine Answer Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

A Genuine Answer

Rating: 5.0

‘Why did you marry that man?
He did not have
a house, a car, a bank balance, a good salary...
Why did your father fix this marriage?
Was he a fool?
Why did you love this man?
Tell me, why? '

‘I loved his honesty,
I would never get such a committed man like him.'

Honesty, indeed worth a thousand houses, or even many more. Honesty, the treasure we all need more than anything else A marvelous poem!
