A Heart Badly Wounded Poem by Dorsey Baker

A Heart Badly Wounded

Rating: 4.0

angry and bitter
he walks such a
lonesome street
denying himself
the simple pleasure
of human contact
denying himself
the magic power
of
precious love
denying himself
a life
worth living
a wounded heart
can turn deadly
damaged pride
hard to repair
and sometimes
a heart so broken
can just stop beating
