A Hearty Wish

In every heart there beats a wish
a solitary wish
one that cannot be summoned
neither in the present
nor in the future.
A time outside ours
that is governed by fate
and executed by chance.
If I could define my wish
it would be:
one of virtue
one of love
one of patience
and inscribed with one name:
Yours.
