A Hollow Victory Poem by Hebert Logerie

A Hollow Victory

So far, countless citizens are awfully disappointed
By the results of the last election in America.
It looks like the wrong candidate had won the saga.
Millions are deceived, disillusioned, and dispirited.
They're protesting against frauds, racism and bigotry.
They are scared about the future of the country.
Nobody knows for sure how life is going to be.
Gazillions of voters fear that people will get hurt.
Things are highly volatile. Everybody must be alert.
Nobody can predict how this unfortunate spiel will end
A pyrrhic victory was not what the nominee had planned.
Sometimes a defeat is better that a win. This is a travesty.
This is a sorrowful calamity. This is a pitiful tragedy.
