A Honeybee Poem by moon batchelder

A Honeybee

Rating: 5.0

a honeybee regarded me
from just outside the window glass.
and waited quite impatiently
to be allowed the right to pass.

but no! she seemed to comprehend
the barrier that stood between,
yet lingered as if with a friend.
and i, her kind so rare had seen,

sat longing after former days,
when honeybees flew everywhere.
and filled each breeze with symphonies
while visiting the flowers there.

This is a lovely poem Moon. I am a sucker for well written rhyme and so I took to this easily. It is well measured and a delightful narrative.
